Sometimes in spring or during major
rain events the Kern River Preserve
headquarters and migrant corner areas
flood to the point of necessary closure to
protect the roadbed.
Here are a few local alternative
birding sites.
KRV checklist is updated
as soon as new birds are seen in the area or their seasonal status
changes. Caution due to the large file size, the page is a little slow
in loading.
