NOTE: There is no collecting, fishing, or hunting on the preserve. If you see any animal or plant on the preserve, please take only pictures and memories. Do not disturb nesting birds. Do not go off trail.

Creepy, crawly, arthropods with eight legs and four eyes; spiders evoke a sense of abject fear and fascination. Although no one has undertaken a spider survey on the Kern River Preserve, our staff has found and photographed many species. Join us as we discover the world of these web making creatures.
